Our projects.

Our studies become campaigns, documentaries and headlines that reach millions.

From our MFP-GLP1 study with MyFitnessPal, currently ongoing, to the trials and experiments behind ASICS campaigns seen by millions, and a randomised trial of VR exercise with FitXR.

01
Currently ongoing

An eight-week randomised controlled trial of around 200 people taking GLP-1 medications, testing whether nutrition tracking with MyFitnessPal changes nutrition intake, compared with a control group with no intervention.

The question
Can food tracking support nutrition during the first six months of starting appetite-suppressing medication?
What we did
  • A randomised controlled trial, compared with a control group with no intervention
  • Eight weeks, around 200 people taking GLP-1 medications
  • The work came to us through agency partners
Status
Currently ongoing.
02
Sportswear

Trials and experiments behind campaigns seen by millions, from Desk Break with Brian Cox to a documentary on Amazon Prime Video.

The question
How does movement affect the mind? ASICS wanted independent science robust enough to stand behind its campaigns.
What we did
  • Movement for Mind: a randomised controlled trial with nearly 200 volunteers, then an 18-month real-world study with 2,909 participants
  • The State of Mind Index: 37,000 people in 16 countries
  • Desk Break: an experiment with 80 office workers in 16 countries, and the science behind Mind Games on Amazon Prime Video
Outcome
15 minutes of daily movement improved State of Mind by 22.5% and cut stress by 14.7%. Desk Break became a campaign starring Brian Cox and won a Silver Cannes Lion in 2025. ASICS Golin Tennis and wellbeing study
03
Fitness app · VR

A randomised trial of 83 adults, comparing a VR workout with the same workout in the real world.

The question
Is 15 minutes of exercise in FitXR’s virtual reality app as effective as the same exercise in the physical world?
What we did
  • A randomised crossover trial: 83 young adults tried both, in random order
  • Run with Professor Felipe Schuch and his team
Outcome
19% more enjoyment and 13% more energy burned in FitXR, and 91% reported an improved emotional state. Athletech News Games for Health Journal paper Virtual Reality paper
